SoloCFO LLC operates an internal integration with Intuit QuickBooks Online to support its fractional CFO services. The integration is used solely by the SoloCFO practitioner to access the books of clients who have engaged SoloCFO under a written engagement letter. It is not a publicly available application, has no end users beyond the practitioner, and is not offered to consumers or other businesses as a product.
This page exists to satisfy Intuit's app-registration requirements and to give clients a stable reference for how the integration works.
What the integration does
When a client authorizes the integration, SoloCFO is granted read access (and, where the engagement requires it, scoped write access) to the client's QuickBooks Online company through Intuit's standard OAuth 2.0 flow. The practitioner uses that access to perform the close, reporting, reconciliation, variance-analysis, and advisory work contemplated by the engagement. No client data is shared outside the engagement except as described in the Privacy Policy.
Connecting
Connecting the integration to a QuickBooks Online company is handled directly between the SoloCFO practitioner and the client, as part of engagement onboarding. There is no public sign-up flow. If you are an existing SoloCFO client and need to (re)authorize access, please contact adam@solocfo.com and SoloCFO will send you a one-time consent link from Intuit. You will be asked to sign in to your own QuickBooks Online account, select the company you wish to connect, and approve the requested scopes. You can review what scopes are being requested before approving.
Disconnecting
You can revoke SoloCFO's access to your QuickBooks Online company at any time, independently of any ongoing engagement, directly from Intuit's interface:
- Sign in to QuickBooks Online as a company admin.
- Open the gear icon in the top right and select Apps (or go to https://qbo.intuit.com).
- Locate the SoloCFO integration in the list of connected apps.
- Choose Disconnect.
Revoking access through Intuit invalidates SoloCFO's stored refresh token immediately. SoloCFO will also remove the corresponding local credentials on its workstation on request. If you have any difficulty disconnecting, or if you want SoloCFO to initiate the disconnect on your behalf, email adam@solocfo.com and it will be done the same business day.
Data handling
What information is accessed, how it is used, how long it is retained, and how it is secured are described in the SoloCFO Privacy Policy. The integration accesses only information available through Intuit's authorized API scopes for the engagement and does not access or store information outside that scope.
